The Ontario Not-for-Profit Corporations Act (ONCA) will affect over 50,000 Ontario Corporation Act (OCA) non-profit corporations. The Ontario government is now targeting to bring the ONCA into force on July 1, 2013, although that target may shift to being later. There has been a lot of attention around the ONCA over the last few years and especially over the last few months. Many non-profits and charities are already feeling anxious about the act.
