Are your volunteer non-profit board activities putting you at risk of potential liability? Leading counsel in the charity and not-for-profit areas will help you avoid potential legal problems in assisting your community as advisor or participant on non-profit and charity boards. This program will look at the advantages and disadvantages of charitable registration. It will consider fundraising issues, including Canada Revenue Agency’s new Guidance on Fundraising as well as the limits on charities conducting business activities. At the end of this program, you will leave with a valuable checklist to enable you to deal with the top 15 legal and ethical concerns for charities.
