Here is a copy of a powerpoint from a workshop at the CIVICUS World Assembly entitled “Assessing the Contribution of Faith-Based Organisations in Development: Mythical or Real?”.

The workshop was led by Nida Kirmani and Comfort Davis of the Religions and Development Research Programme, University of Birmingham, on August 22, 2010 There was a great discussion of what is a “Faith-Based Organisation” and how faith affects those in development.

“The Religions and Development Research Programme is an international research partnership exploring the relationships between several major world religions, development in low-income countries and poverty reduction.”  You can find out more information at:
